Having completed 18 Rottnest swims and nine ironman events, founding partner Dean is a competitive weapon and a man who believes in creating healthy habits in life and in business. Hence the company bi-line "Lifestyle Engineers," which stems from Dean and Simon's desire to help clients achieve the lifestyle they want through business success. 

Using the wealth of knowledge gained during a 30-year career, Dean provides high-level taxation and business counsel to clients, working with them to grow and future-proof their operations. Immensely proud of the robust brand Smith Thornton has built, Dean credits success to investing in long-term client relationships and supporting employees both in and out of the office.

Having been involved with football and triathlon club committees over the years, Dean is deeply connected to the community. Along with wife Kim, he has been known to enjoy a beer, a local wine and a BBQ. Dean also makes a significant contribution to the office footy banter.
