Nancy, a lifelong resident of Albany, is the backbone of our office. As the founding employee of Simon and Dean, she has amassed a wealth of knowledge and expertise through her contributions to the firm, her community involvement, and her family's successful businesses over the past 30+ years.

Having witnessed the transformation from a small team to the thriving Smith Thornton business we know today, Nancy has continually adapted and developed new skills. Her efforts have not only facilitated the company's growth but have also enabled her to assist colleagues, clients, and the community whenever needed. Throughout her journey, she has upheld our founding principles of treating people well and investing in their success – whether they are employees, clients, or community members.

Nancy plays a crucial role in the firm's ongoing evolution, designing and implementing systems and processes that ensure consistent, high-quality results for our clients. Thanks to Smith Thornton’s flexible and lifestyle approach, she has successfully balanced her career and family life. Now an Associate at the firm, she manages large business clients, leveraging her extensive shared history with their enterprises.

Her strong Italian heritage instils in her a robust work ethic and a commitment to providing exceptional service. Despite her professional responsibilities, Nancy remains actively involved in her children's lives, having participated in childcare boards and later engaging in their school activities and sporting committees.

Nancy, a self-proclaimed doer, is dedicated to her family, both at home and work. She loves learning Sicilian recipes from her mother and sharing them with her daughter. Additionally, she goes above and beyond to support her children's education, including her son's university studies in Perth.
