Bright Ideas Grant 2027
Provides seed funding to support innovative business ventures, programs and ideas that advance women in the construction industry.
The Program offers two grant categories:
1. Business Grant ($20,000)
Seed funding to eligible micro and early-stage businesses and organisations to establish, develop or expand a business venture, program or initiative.
For the purposes of the Program, a micro business is a business employing up to 10 people.
To be eligible for the Business Grant, applicants must:
- Hold a current Australian Business Number (ABN)
- Be legally established and operating in Australia
- Hold a current NAWIC membership at the time of application and at the commencement of the project on 1 January 2027
- Apply in the name of the business or organisation responsible for delivering the proposed project
- Have a woman in a key leadership role within the business or organisation.
2. Individual Grant ($30,000)
Seed funding to eligible individuals to develop and launch innovative business ventures, programs or initiatives that advance women in construction.
To be eligible for the Individual Grant, applicants must:
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident residing in Australia
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a current NAWIC membership at the time of application and at the commencement of the project on 1 January 2027
- Apply as an individual
- Ensure the proposed business venture has not commenced trading at the time of application.
Successful applicants will also receive:
- One-year complimentary NAWIC membership, covering the membership period from 1 July 2027 to 30 June 2028
- Mentoring support
- Access to NAWIC events, workshops and networking opportunities
- Marketing and promotional support through NAWIC channels.
